IMG Reviews LEGO Star Wars III: The Clone Wars
6:00 AM | Cord Kruse | Comment on this story
Inside Mac Games has posted a new review of Feral Interactive's LEGO Star Wars III: The Clone Wars. Developed by TT Games and LucasArts, it is the latest in the line of LEGO titles to be brought to the Mac by Feral.
Here's an excerpt:
As you might expect from a game of this caliber, the graphics are pretty much top notch. The cut scenes are truly cinematic, explosions, smoke and mist are all nicely rendered within the game, and on my system, with everything set to the highest level, graphics and animation were generally fluid, smooth and beautiful. The only time I saw a little stutter was on rare occasions during ground battles with probably hundreds of characters involved in addition to lots of heavy weaponry and the associated battle paraphernalia. This happened rarely, lasted a few seconds, and didn’t slow down gameplay at all, just decreased the quality of the animation. As always in these situations, your mileage may vary, and the game does require and suggest a fairly heavy-duty, or at least recent, system. Don’t expect to play this game on your Air.Check out the full review at the link below.

Developed by 2K Marin, 2K Australia, 2K China and Digital Extremes, and published by 2K Games for games consoles and PC, BioShock 2 is the sequel to BioShock.
The game provides fans with an unsettling storyline, dazzling visual design and the evolution of BioShock’s genetically enhanced shooter gameplay. BioShock 2 for the Mac will retail in North America for US $34.95, £24.95 (inc. VAT) in the UK and €29.95 (inc. VAT) throughout Europe. It will also be available online for direct download from a variety of digital partner sites worldwde including Macgamestore.com.
An unspeakable series of kidnappings from local seaside communities by an unseen monster leads to the repopulation of Little Sisters in Rapture’s failed utopia under the ocean. Players must step into the boots of one of gaming's most iconic characters, the Big Daddy, as they traverse through the fallen city, fending off attacks from an army of genetically modified Splicers, while searching for escape and the key to their survival.
The Mac edition of BioShock 2 will also include an entirely separate multiplayer game, The Fall of Rapture, set prior to the original BioShock. Players will take on the role of mutated test subjects for the opportunistic plasmid manufacturer Sinclair Solutions, and engage in the civil war that tore Rapture apart.
“BioShock 2 shows Rapture in a completely new light,” said David Stephen, Managing Director of Feral Interactive. “By allowing players to be a Big Daddy, it explores the emotional consequences of the Rapture project.”
