City Of Heroes Issue 20 Incarnates Page Unveiled
6:04 AM | Cord Kruse | Comment on this story

NCSoft and Paragon Studios have released a new overview page for the upcoming Issue 20: Incarnates update for the company's comic book hero themed MMO, City of Heroes. The patch will challenge players to face off against Emperor Cole and his lieutenants who have been empowered by The Well of Furies.

With Issue 20: Incarnates, Heroes and Villains must push themselves to new levels of power in order to protect the world. The Well of the Furies, a sentient source of cosmic super powers, has started taking an active role in the universe again, but appears to have gone mad! It has empowered Emperor Cole, ruler of Praetoria, with nearly limitless energy. Emperor Cole has shared his newly imbued power with his lieutenants, turning them from already powerful Archvillains into cosmic menaces.
The Heroes of Paragon City® and the Villains the Rogue Isles® have faced the likes of Marauder, Mother Mayhem, Nightstar, and Siege in the past, but now each of these Praetorians possesses the power of an army. Only a dedicated group of Incarnates stands a chance of defeating them.

Dragon Age 2 Rogue Class Profile, Cinematics
6:04 AM | Cord Kruse | Comment on this story

Bioware has revealed some new information about the soon to be released Dragon Age 2. The company has updated the game's website with a new Rogue class profile, and during discussions at this year's Game Developers Conference offered some statistics about the amount of content Dragon Age 2 will have in comparison to Dragon Age: Origins.

Rogue Class:

A rogue fights with precision. Whether unleashing a torrent of arrows at range, or landing cut after devastating cut up close, these deadly combatants focus on a single target and dismantle it with deadly efficiency.

As an archer, a rogue’s mobility is his or her greatest asset. Able to leap clear of combat with ease, the rogue can easily evade single pursuers. Foes hoping to close will often find themselves pinned in place by an expertly placed arrow through the leg. Should the situation grow more dire, careful distraction and well practiced evasion techniques let the rogue sneak clear of groups, letting foes turn their attentions to the heavily armored warriors.

Armed with dual daggers, a rogue focuses more on positioning, and teaming up with warriors and mages to deal out maximum damage while enemies are either distracted or disabled. Acrobatic strikes lacerate foes, often leaving them bleeding out and steadily weakening, while the rogue smoothly slips behind for a devastating backstab.

Rogues focus on dexterity and cunning, a combination that trades power for precision. Critical hits are the bread and butter of the rogue, and they have many abilities that can increase the odds of landing one. These attributes also lead to a solid defense, making the rogue a difficult opponent to hit, which is critical for a class that typically lacks the strength to wear heavier armors.

DA2 vs. DAO:

Dragon Age: Origins
• 1,000,000 Words
• 1,000 Cinematics

Dragon Age II

American Civil War
Even amidst the trailers and previews for the latest mind-blowing games, there's still a chunk of you that doesn't mind sitting down with a cup of tea and a good historical war simulator for Mac OS X and figuring things out. With that in mind, Paradox Interactive (Virtual Programming) is releasing American Civil War, a civil war simulator in which you can play as the United States of America or the Confederate States of America, engage in 16 scenarios or five campaigns and move your divisions around via land, sea, river and rail maneuvers.
