Uplink 1.6.1 features the following improvements and changes:

-- Restored compatibility with mods
-- Fixed an issue where with large world map.
-- Various bug fixes and enhancements

More about Uplink:
Welcome to the world of the cyber-hacking game Uplink, developed by Introversion Software and published for Mac OS X by Ambrosia Software. A world that is not all that different from the world that exists today: a world of high tech computer crime and industrial espionage on the Internet.

An enigma in itself, Uplink is akin to a more cerebral incarnation of Ambrosia's popular Escape Velocity series of games, with missions that interweave a threaded plot which is unveiled with each conquest. Only this time, you have only your intellect, hacking skills, and the computer systems you've compromised to aid you.

You play an Uplink Agent who makes a living by performing jobs for major corporations. Your tasks involve hacking into rival computer systems, stealing research data, sabotaging other companies, laundering money, erasing evidence, or framing innocent people.

You have the power, but do you have what it takes to master Uplink?
Uplink costs $25, requires Mac OS X 10.3.9 or later, and is a Universal Binary application.

The update, free to registered users of Uplink, may be downloaded at the link below.

StarCraft II: Decorative Water, Visible Unit Upgrades
6:00 AM | Cord Kruse | Comment on this story

StarCraftWire.net has posted the results of an exclusive StarCraft II Q&A session won by french SC II fansite JudgeHype for contributions to the I <3 SC contest. The questions include comments on how water is used in the game and possible visual changes to units based on researched upgrades.

1. Will the editor allow us to have the water surface react to explosions and units passing by?
No, there won't be any physics effects involving water.

2. Will we have the possibility of having units evolve under water in the editor?
Water is only decorative, it won't have any gameplay effects. Units won't be able to go 'under' water. Although, you may be able to simulate this to some extent through triggers and data modification.

3. Will the Ultralisk upgrades change his visual appearance?
Depending on time, we would like to have various upgrades be able to be seen visually on the units themselves, similar to the Marine's shields. However, it has not been determined which upgrades will be seen yet though, as the art is still WIP.
