Inside Mac Games Reviews the Moshi PalmGuard
7:54 AM | Bryan Clodfelter | Comment on this story
For all of you Mac users that are looking for a way to protect your MacBook or MacBook Pro against accidental damage caused by jewelry or clothing, Inside Mac Games has released its review of the Moshi PalmGuard. Here's a clip from the review:
The concept is simple: if you want to to protect an object from the ravages of the outside world, one of the cheapest and most effective solutions is to wrap the device in a material that possesses an extremely high level of durability. Of course, that's not the end of the story--if it were, we'd be dumping our precious electronics into buckets of Lexan instead of pouring money into cases and extended warranties. As it stands, the reality is that protecting today's fragile electronics without making them an eyesore or a hassle to use is still something of an art.To check out the rest of the review, follow the link below.

C&C 3: Tiberium Wars Reviewed
6:00 AM | Cord Kruse | Comment on this story
Macworld's Game Room recently published a new review of Command & Conquer 3: Tiberium Wars. One of several Electronic Arts titles brought to Intel Mac owners courtesy of Cider emulation software, C&C 3: TW continues the award winning RTS series. The Game Room gave the C&C 3 a score of 4 out of 5 mice.
If you’re into complex technology development “trees” like the ones you find in Civilization, you’re going to be a bit disappointed. Command & Conquer 3 employs a flat production and development system that only takes about 15 or 20 minutes to understand and master. But that’s good, because there’s tons of action, and Command & Conquer gets you right into the midst of it after a very brief (albeit complete) tutorial mode.Click over to the site below to read the rest of the review.
Macworld's Game Room: C&C 3 Tiberium Wars Review
Command & Conquer 3 does have one big surprise: a new faction, an alien race called the Scrin. It’s quite a change to play as the Scrin, especially once you’re familiar with Brotherhood and GDI forces, which are really two sides of the same coin. All three factions are fairly well balanced, but the Scrin employ different technology and a different method of production and resource management than you’ll have become accustomed to.
Production quality in Command & Conquer 3 is fantastic. Ample cinematic cut-scenes are employed throughout, featuring actors who any science fiction fan worth their salt will recognize immediately, such as Michael Ironside, Tricia Helfer, Grace Park, Billy Dee Williams, and Josh Holloway all make appearances. Joe Kucan, who may not be familiar to Command & Conquer fans, reprises his role as Kane, the megalomaniacal leader of the Brotherhood. The soundtrack sounds like it’s from a movie, and the sound effects are equally cinematic.
