Flyboys Heading To Mac

The folks at IENT recently told IMG that a Mac version of Flyboys is heading to the Mac. Inspired by the true story of the legendary Lafayette Escadrille, the first American fighter pilots, Flyboys is World War I combat flight simulator based upon the MGM movie Flyboys.
FLYBOYS Squadron combines skills building and strategy, with the thrill of flying and the pressure of relentless combat. Players encounter a wide range aircraft such as the Nieuport 17 biplane modeled after authentic WWI fighter planes from the Flyboys movie. Game missions mirror the movie's action, as flyers ascend and fight over real terrains in Europe, modeled and mapped from real satellite data. From fight engagements, to bomber escort missions, to shooting down a Zeppelin, the game provides hours of battle without the blood of many of today's hyper-violent games. FLYBOYS Squadron tests players' abilities to take off and land safely, learn evasive and attack maneuvers and manage resources such as fuel and ammunition while achieving increasingly challenging mission objectives. FLYBOYS Squadron keeps the tension of battle high, but eliminates the hassle of too much flight simulator activity. No release date has been set yet for Flyboys. Be sure to stay tuned to IMG for more information on Flyboys. In the meantime, be sure to visit the official site.
The single player flight simulation and dogfighting game includes 12 missions with four different skill levels, more than 25 Instant Action missions that are different every time they are played, 3 secret missions, and the ability for players to fly in any one of 10 different terrains with more than 100 different planes and vehicles. iEntertainment will also provide continuous free updates and new missions to the retail game over the next year, including new missions.

eBay Delists Virtual Items
12:41 PM | Eddie Park | Comment on this story
A recent article by Slashdot notes that auction giant eBay has started delisting all sales of virtual items from its site. These items include currency, items, and character accounts, which eBay no longer supports due to legal issues:
Mr. Hani Durzy, speaking for eBay, explained that the decision to pull these items was due to the 'legal complexities' surrounding virtual property. "For the overall health of the marketplace" the company felt that the proper course of action, after considerable contemplation, was to ban the sale of these items outright. While he couldn't give me a specific date when the delistings began, he estimated that they've been coming down for about a month or so.Durzy adds that the action is an enforcement of an existing policy concerning ownership, rather than a newly created one. He adds that initial offenders will not be penalized in any way, though repeat offenders will have their accounts removed.
The sale of virtual commodities for real money has been a hot-button topic in the world of online gaming, and eBay's decision to disallow such sales removes a particularly large marketplace, particularly for those entites known as RMT (Real Money Traders). While there are still plenty of ways to purchase virtual items directly from sellers such as IGE, eBay's silent declaration that it considers virtual property to be the property of game makers speaks pretty loudly.
