Today IMG Posted a hardware review of Logitech S530 Wireless Desktop for Mac. The S530 offers a wireless keyboard, laser mouse, and a Mac styling. In addition, the keyboard features Mac-specific hot buttons and an ergonomic design. From the video review:
Logitech’s newest made-for-mac wireless keyboard, the Cordless Desktop S 530 Laser, arrived at my office a few days ago. I must say, having used it exclusively for the last few days that I am a bit disappointed. To read the entire review, click the link below.
IMG Review: Logitech S530
For the average user, the Logitech Cordless Desktop S 530 Laser is a fair wireless solution, and at right around $100, you can’t beat the price. If you’re a power user or hard core gamer, you might consider a wired keyboard and mouse.

The Sims 2: Night Life Reviewed
6:05 AM | Cord Kruse | Comment on this story
Applelinks' latest review heads out for a night on the town with The Sims 2: Nightlife. One of the latest expansions for the popular Sims sequel. Nightlife introduces a variety of new activities for Sim characters including dating, owning cars, and the chance to become a vampire. Applelinks gave Nightlife a score of 5 out of 5.
From the review:
There are vampires haunting the city late at night; one part sexy seducers, and one part goofy as all get out. Stalking the streets (literally, cape over nose) and going "bleh, bleh," the vampires are looking to rock it till the break of dawn, literally. And if you let your Sims cozy up to them, you risk getting a hickey you won't soon forget. The full review can be found at the link below.
Applelinks: The Sims 2 Nightlife Review
The nice part about being a Sim vampire is that you don't have to worry about eating or taking care of your other physical needs. You can shake your thang for as long as you like, provided that you make it back to your coffin (yep, you have to buy one) before the dawn's early light and it's Ash Wednesday every day of the week. The drawbacks are that since you can't go out in the day, having any kind of conventional job is impossible, so you'll have to resort to getting a job at night (cutting into your social life, which is the whole reason to become a vampire) or trying your luck at the poker table.

6:05 AM | Evan Holt | Comment on this story
Blizzard released the 1.11.2 patch for World of Warcraft which fixes many small things for classes, professions and Dungeons. The Looking For Group channel is now turned off to try and remedy the problem of people using it as general chat. To join it you will have to type (/join LFG).
There is also a Mac specific bug fix:
• Fixed a bug in 3D sound positioning that would occur in various situations, such as leveling up or standing above a body of water. To update, log in to World of Warcraft and the small patch will automatically download.

Quinn Blocked By Tetris Company?
6:04 AM | Cord Kruse | 5 comments
Quinn, a freeware falling block puzzle game in the style of Tetris, is no longer being distributed. The makers of the game recently received a warning letter from The Tetris Company, citing copyright infringement. To avoid legal entanglements the creators of Quinn decided to remove the game from circulation until the legal issues can be explored.
From the Quinn website:
This is not the first time The Tetris Company has attacked the little guy and it probably won't be the last. In order to defend Quinn, a lot of time and money would have to be spent and The Tetris Company knows when they send these letters out that the people they are attacking probably cannot afford these expenses. To read more head over to the Quinn site at the link below.
I do not know of any clear legal precedent on this matter and The Tetris Company has never actually taken anyone to court over the issue while numerous Tetris-like games continue to be distributed today. In fact, this is not the first time Simon has been bullied by this company and it seems the mere fact that I live in the United States represents a much clearer path for The Tetris Company to push us around.
