Aspyr Game Agent 1.2
9:33 AM | Eddie Park | Comment on this story

Aspyr's game utility Game Agent has recently been bumped up to version 1.2. A tool that allows for easy matching of Aspyr titles to a Mac's hardware specifications, the latest update brings a few new things to the table, including retail prices and notifications.

The list of upgrades is as follows:

Game Agent now shows suggested retail prices for all games.
A new "Favorites" list lets you keep track of games you are most interested in, especially upcoming games whose system requirements may change before they ship.
You can now be automatically notified weekly or daily if there is updated information available about new games or updated system requirements, even if you aren't running Game Agent.
Game Agent is a free download. Those interested in installing or upgrading this utility can get it directly from MacGameFiles.

Users can also receive a three-title bundle for $19.99. Indiana Jones and the Emperor's Tomb, 007 Nightfire and Star Wars Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy are available, only through a link in GameAgent, at the reduced price of $19.99 for all three titles.

IMG Reviews Close Combat: First To Fight
11:35 AM | Tuncer Deniz | Comment on this story

Inside Mac Games has posted a review of MacSoft's recently released tactical shooter, Close Combat: First To Fight. Here's a clip from Michael Phillips' review:

Visually, First to Fight is very impressive. The character models of each fire team member are quite detailed. I'm particularly impressed with the level of detail found in their faces. The enemy death animation is also nicely rendered and very convincing. It's quite enjoyable shooting a guy in the face and watching him go down like a bag of rocks.

World of Warcraft for the servers listed below.

Warsong (PvP) -> Bonechewer (PvP)

Arthas (PvP) -> Nathrezim (PvP)

Bleeding Hollow (PvP) -> Crushridge (PvP)

Illidan (PvP) -> Stonemaul (PvP)

Blackrock (PvP) -> Daggerspine (PvP)

Stormreaver (PvP) -> Stormscale (PvP)

Shattered Hand (PvP) -> Bloodscalp (PvP)

Mannoroth (PvP) -> Destromath (PvP)

Blackhand (PvE) -> Windrunner (PvE)

Whisperwind (PvE) -> Azjol-Nerub (PvE)
The previous times these transfers were open, the Blizzard servers were overrun with requests. Apparently, the demand for a low-population server was gigantic. Transfers will stay available all the way to their shutdown on May 9th.

Indiana Jones Updated to Support 10.4
9:33 AM | Andy Largent | Comment on this story

Aspyr Media has released a new patch for Indiana Jones and the Emporer's Tomb, allowing the game to be installed under OS X 10.4 "Tiger." The 1.4MB download is available now at Macgamefiles, and should be grabbed by anyone picking up the game for the first time.

In case you haven't tried Indiana Jones, there's also a demo available for it. The game needs an 800MHz G4 and a 32MB video card to run, so head over to MGF and give it a look if you're interested. Also be sure to read through IMG's review of the title for more information.
