Bad Mojo Reaches Gold Master (updated) 7:44 AM | Conrad Quilty-Harper | Comment on this story
The re-release of the innovative --and some might say Kafka-esque-- game, Bad Mojo, has reached gold master. The premise of this game follows: You're cast in the part of Dr. Samms, the head of an entomology department, who has been magically transformed into one of the most disgusting forms of life. A cockroach. Gameplay is similar to the Myst series of games, with the twist of taking the role of a common pest. The game takes place in only 6 rooms, within which there are hundreds of beautifully pre-rendered scenes of rotten meat and garbage! It is being re-released onto a hybrid Windows/Mac CD under the title, Bad Mojo: The Roach Game (Redux), and features a behind the scenes making of the game as well as an interview with the developers. The game's system requirements call for a Mac G3 or better with 50 MB of hard drive space, and a 24-bit colour video display. A FAQ page on the developer's website states that the game will run on System 9.0 or OS X Classic mode only. The title is expected to ship in December. Head over to the Bad Mojo link below to read more about the possibilities of playing as a household cockroach. (updated with system requirements)

P-Edge, maker of various Game Server tools for Quake 3 games, has updated one such tool for the Spearhead expansion to Medal of Honor. The updated program uses the dedicated server program recently released by Aspyr. Like their other Game Server Configulators, the program allows you to set up and effectively run a dedicated server. Here's some more info: Today I have updated GSC Spearhead to version 1.7. This means it now uses the official "mohaas_server" executable that Aspyr recently released.Of course, GSC Spearhead is now up-to-date with all the latest features that are also common in GSC Breakthrough and GSC Jedi Academy: * Ban players by their IP * Auto-kick unwanted players * Broadcast of server messages * Multiple server documents with Finder integration * Instant messaging to the players from the console * rcon commands can be given in the console For more information or to download the program, follow the links provided below.
