No One Lives Forever Mac Mod Handler Released 11:03 AM | Conrad Quilty-Harper | Comment on this story
Hysteria has released a new freeware tool that enables No One Lives Forever players to install and uninstall mods without having to use a command line. Previously Mac users would have had to type unintuitive commands into the NOLF command line to enable mods, but now a much easier solution is available. Here's a more technical description: A .REZ unloader/loader for the Macintosh version of No One Lives Forever. Created because the Mac version doesn't have a gui .REZ handler like the Windows version. Rather you are forced to use a command-line, well, until now that is. Get the small 800k download now over at Macgamefiles.com.

Jedi Academy SDK Updated 8:50 AM | Tuncer Deniz | Comment on this story
Aspyr programmer Brad Oliver has released another update to the unofficial Star Wars: Jedi Academy SDK which allows players to create custom multiplayer content for popular Star Wars shooter. Here's what Oliver had to say about the latest update: It seems my fix for the JKJA SDK before was no good. That'll teach me not to test these things before uploading them. Anyway, I've fixed the SDK and it's available at the same link as before. The reason I can say that it definitely works now is because I've just built the "Open Jedi Project" mod with it and tested that it works. :-) I've got a new system in place for loading Mac .bundle DLLs created with this SDK that'll require a new version of the MP app, but it'll make using MODs on the Mac with Jedi Academy a lot smoother than it is now. Within the next week or so, I'll try to finalize a comprehensive Jedi Academy patch that includes that and a few other fixes. I'm in contact with the OJP guys about rolling in the necessary Mac changes to their archive (they're all minor) for future builds as well. To download the latest SDK, head over to Brad Oliver's blog web site.
