Doom 3 Q&A Gives More on Mac Timeline
8:26 AM | Eddie Park | Comment on this story

IGN PC has posted a Q&A with Todd Hollenshead and Tim Willits of id discussing Doom 3. A title more than a few gamers have been chomping at the bit for, Doom 3 is the latest in id's horror-themed FPS legacy, and was recently announced as arriving soon for the PC.

While various topics are covered in the Q&A, Mac gamers are probably wondering when a Mac version will roll out. Though brief, Hollenshead does mention a timeline of sorts when discussing their current workload:

We've got the demo to wrap up and the programmers are working on getting the dedicated server wrapped up so once those two things are done we'll start focusing on getting the Mac stuff done so we actually have a pretty full slate. After the announcement everybody kinda took the next day a little easier, but for me the activity level has actually picked up here recently. Out of the frying pan and into the fire.
Other discussions include various graphical features, the methodical pacing of the gameplay, and multiplayer game types.

Wasting no time in getting back to business after a year long hiatus, shareware developer Dracosoft, wasted no time in getting back to work, and has released an update for Avalanche a frantic puzzler where the player is tasked with destroying an avalanche. The update bring Avalance to version 1.1

Here's more from the website:

Click on three or more matching blocks to destroy portions of the Avalanche. The more blocks destroyed the more points earned. Beware; the Avalanche is quickly gaining speed. Used color bombs to destroy similar colored portions of the Avalanche and black bombs to destroy giant areas. Add point bonuses and the ability to build them up and you have one super addictive game.
