MacHaloMods Changes Name, Launches New Site
8:56 AM | Tuncer Deniz | Comment on this story
Back in February IMG brought you news of a new site called MacHaloMods, a site dedicated for modders of the premier first-person shooter Halo: Combat Evolved. Today the folks who run the site have moved relaunched the site under a new name and design. The new site, now called MacHaloDev, features a forum, an IRC chat feature, comments, and user submitted reviews for downloads.
Here's a bit more from the PR:
Users are now able to submit their own articles, downloads, news, tutorials, add to FAQ questions queue, answers to FAQs, and more. You can probably best get a feel for the new site by creating an account and having a look around yourself. Unregistered views only get to see about 40% of the sites features so you must be registered to use the site to its fullest.Be sure to follow the link below to check out the new web site.
Also, since your original news story, the site has received a good deal of new content by the way of tools, tutorials, and articles. Soon a new tool will be out that will allow viewing and editing of the BSP, like SparkEdit for PC does with Halo Xbox and PC. This gives mod makers a huge new realm of possibilities.

Team G5 Joins Global Gaming League
8:38 AM | Eddie Park | Comment on this story
Early last week, Team G5, a group of Mac gamers looking to stake out some territory in the world of competitive gaming, announced their official registration with the Global Gaming League. They're currently entered for the Unreal Tournament 2004 division, and plan on signing up for the Warcraft 3 division as well.
Now it's about time we get more playing and more action in the UT2k4 division. The TWL league faded out slowly, and yesterday I registered the Team at GGL.com (Global Gaming League). Now it's time for all of you who want to participate in the UT2k4 season that started almost four weeks ago to register at GGL.com and join Team G5. We have a little passphrase needed to get into the Team, but don't hesitate about asking one of the leaders in iChat about that. In addition to the 120 day long UT2k4 season GGL.com also provides cash prizes for the winning teams.Team G5's first tournament entry, which was in the TeamWarfare Onslaught Spring 2004 League, saw them placing 5th, and they're looking for even greater gains in the GGL.
More information on Team G5, including how to join and planned events, can be found at their official site.
