European World of Warcraft Beta Signups Soon 8:55 AM | Eddie Park | Comment on this story
European gamers rejoice! Blizzard has recently announced that signups for the European closed beta of World of Warcraft will start on July 5th. Testers will be able to sign up through Blizzard's French, German, and English sites for a chance to get in. In addition to game-play and technical compatibility testing, the purpose of the beta test is to validate the distribution and hosting infrastructure in Europe and, in due time, to verify the localization of the game in French and German. This process will allow World of Warcraft to reach the high level of quality that has become the signature of every Blizzard product. Blizzard adds that they plan to host the game on European servers, and that they will also have a dedicated regional team on site to handle various tasks, including offline customer support and community management.

Radiant Install Instructions for OS X 8:55 AM | Eddie Park | Comment on this story
Map makers are probably familiar with Radiant, a level design tool that works with a variety of games. Looking to take some of the sting out of installing the Mac version, an enthusiast by the alias "Dynamite" has posted a Radiant OSX Tutorial for folks looking to tinker with the app. The tutorial runs through all the necessary steps, from installing Fink to the final installation steps of Radiant: Fink, one of the strange programs you will have to install if you "have the guts" to proceed... Nah, its not so terrible, but its a frustrating pain. And I am always happy to help anyway! I can proudly say that I am included in the list of "few people" who have tested this "unstable" package. And in my opinion, the only "unstable" part here is the installation, as the OSX Radiant program runs much faster than the pc version, and I am really happy with it! Those interested in the tutorial can find it at the provided link.
