Call of Duty 1.4 Patch Status 7:54 AM | Mike Apps | Comment on this story
Call of Duty fans who recently picked up Aspyr's latest World War II shooter will be happy to hear that a patch is already in the works. The update brings the game to the same version as the PC version of the game, and it also adds Punkbuster anti-cheating support in multiplayer. Glenda Adams recently posted an update on the patch in the IMG forums: The patch definitely won't be out today or this weekend, we've been working on it since shortly after it came out for the PC, and are working to finish the last bits of integration of Punkbuster. After we have QA'ed it and Activision has taken a quick look at it we'll release it.I don't have any hard dates, but we definitely want to do this in a short period of time, not months. We had hoped to have it ready this week (as the game hit the stores), but hit some development snags and most of the game industry has been out at E3 this week (which is where I am right now too). Don't worry though, we're on top of it and will get it out as fast as we can. For more info, please follow the links provided below. If you haven't gotten the game yet, it’s also available to order from the IMG Store.

IMG Previews James Bond 007: NightFire 11:19 AM | Tuncer Deniz | Comment on this story
Inside Mac Games has posted a hands-on preview of James Bond 007: NightFire, the upcoming first-person thriller from Aspyr Media. Here's a clip from the preview: Everyone knows James Bond. Most everyone has a favorite Bond “moment.” The 007 franchise is so embedded in our cultural landscape that nearly anyone you meet has been imprinted with some sort of composite of the world’s most famous spy. At least that thinking seems to be where Nightfire derives its narrative inspiration. Drawing on, and remediating, several popular moments from the franchise’s mythos, Nightfire tells the story of James Bond as he finds himself on the trail of Rafael Drake- a corrupt businessman who is attempting to use an orbital super weapon to destroy the world. In order to accomplish this, James Bond must shoot and sneak his way through nine levels ranging in locale from an Austrian castle, a Japanese mansion, and a South Pacific island; ultimately concluding aboard an international space station. To check out the entire preview, please follow the link below.

Urban Terror Q3 Mod Exploit Fixed 7:55 AM | Mike Apps | Comment on this story
The latest version of the popular realism based Quake 3 mod Urban Terror is now available. This latest patch isn't a major update of any kind; it merely fixes an exploit that was present in the previous version of the game. Here's the exact description of the update: What is better than 3.5 with a nasty exploit? How about Urban Terror 3.6 with that exploit corrected? It is a similar exploit we saw in a previous version, the details as to how and why are unimportant. The point is, this exploit is no longer an option. The file is a small 500kb file that is required for both clients and servers. For more information or to download the patch, follow the links below.
