John Carmack demonstrated a D3 demo running on Mac hardware at MacWorld a few years back. The last I heard, it was being simultaneously developed with the PC version, by id themselves. Carmack is a big fan of Next; he did most of his developing on Next systems until a few years back, so OS X is a good fit for him.
So, short answer: Yes, there will be a Mac version, and possibly a simultaneous release.
Not being a console or co-op fan, I have no answer for your second question. |

No co-op. Why do companies assume that only console fans want co-op? |
