OK, so we know that this is the same underlying engine with more "stuff" added. Like being able to jump into and drive vehicles.

BUT, it seems that adding such stuff will have a performance hit on the game... if the same engine, then it might run slower than 2k3.

So one answer might be "oh it's the same engine, but it has been further tweaked to get better performance." So then, "won't they essentially cancel themselves out if this is the case?"

Lastly, if performance tweaks have been made to the engine, will they release a patch for those that bought 2k3, or expect those folks to pony up another 40 bucks?
