Is there ever a demo coming? I'm playing through the NWN demo now and the performance is acceptable to me on my B&W G3/350 with Radeon 7000. Sure, things are turned down and frame rate is far from butter smooth, but it is playable. I'd like to test DS before plunking down cash.

the game is a pretty good armchair RPG -- there's very little to manage and so much can be automated... playing multiplayer on a LAN is fun. =) the weapons aren't as cool as diablo 2's but the gameplay is up there.

DS blows EQ away in every aspect.

Comparisons between DS and D2 are unavoidable, but the truth is that Dungeon Siege's graphical engine is the only element that is superior to Diablo 2. The artwork isn't nearly as good, the gameplay is somewhat more repetitious (due to limited skills), your character is less customizable (no classes, only 4 combat catagories), the quests arent as interesting, and I won't even bother comparing the storyline or cinematics. I'm not saying Diablo 2 is flawless, but it definately has a lot more value than Dungeon Siege.

This game is a lot of fun if you enjoy the dioblo series. The graphics are a lot less static too. Sure the story is a bit contrived and the action can get a little stale, but so did diablo's in my opinion. Anyone that enjoyed diablo should pick up this game now if they haven't already. BTW there are some cool mods out there, one even changes all the graphics and story into a sci-fi setting.

I can't believe how overrated this game is. Maybe I shouldnt be so surprised. Dungeon Siege is the hot, dumb blonde of Mac gaming right now.
