Word from the Quicksilver website is that the INSTALLER is what doesn't understand the data patch. They are hoping to have an updated installer as early as next week. So I'd wait.

It's moot anyway because the Mac installer has been pulled for some unspecified problem, new version for us expected Monday.

Seems to me that you may want to wait for the final patch, which I imagine will allow the fixes from both patches to coexist together. Or maybe they'll redo the data patch to make it compatible, I don't know.

I'd trash the copy you have on your HD and do a clean install of MOO3. Yes, you will lose your saved games and any mods you may have, but the patch states that these would probably be broken anyway, so there is no net loss.

So what do we do if we have tha data patch? Does the beta code patch write over it? Can we not use the beta code patch? I don't have the old data files.
