There are a couple of factual errors in the story that do not give TPE it's fair lighting.

First of all, Mac OS 9 TPE is, and has been, available for some time.

Second, this is indeed an OSX version. If you have a copy of Terminus and you're interested in this, consider donating to TerminusPoint.com so they can continue the excellent work so far.

Third, most, if not all, of the original bugs of Terminus have been ironed out. The online community at Terminuspoint.com has a larger universe, limited web-game integration and plot scripts running. There is also a larger plot going.

Fourth, to claim that you can't buy it anymore is false. There is a hand-selected list of places that sell Terminus at http://www.myterminus.net/showpage.php?page=buy_terminus

Looks like it will be a patch to go over the os9 version if thats the case that will rot. Os9 is going to fade away and apple wont even have machines booting into that obsolete os soon.Most companies are now only porting to osX. They need to make a pure osX version that is bug free. It was a great simulator but i wont have anything to do with 9 anymore.

What a shame. I have a copy of Terminus, it is very fun. Anyone who has ever played Escape Velocity would love this game. It's a shame that you can'y buy it anymore. I think that if it is impossible to legitimately buy a game (new or used) then it is time to start copying it. Perhaps VVisions could release their copyright on the game if they no longer intend to support it. Then more people could enjoy this excelent game.

It was agreat game, but I never had a chance of really enjoing it, so this is great news!

I remember the os9 demo thinking this could be a fantastic space simulator. but it was buggy and never heard more of it. If they come out with a osx version that works this will be the best space simulator out there as far as feeling you are really in and flying through space. Hope this happens
