concerning mac os x
hulldown September 22 - 9:45 PM

there is an explanation on the battlefront.com site, somewhere, if you really want to know why they don't have an OS X version. Not their fault really, cast your glance to Apple and their implementation of certain parts in OS X.

As well this game version's development started at least 2 years ago, or there abouts, and OS X really wasn't all there at that point. I don't think this was something like an "easy" port. They did siginificant code rewrites and with MAC OS X not all there well....read between the lines.
It was in the forecast but battlefront already had a solid game engine in os 9.

Makes sense really if you think about it.

Not getting this game because its not in OS X is just a way of avoiding a huge amount of fun. Your loss ...too bad. The combat mission series is very good for what it is, a realistic physics simulation with incredible playability and "legs".

I with several thousand other mac users, in all liklihood, won't be worrying about whether its os 9 or X but will just get on with enjoying a good game.

I don't really mind booting into 9, but who makes a game these days without doing an os x verison?

Get over it

People it's not like you have to walk
5 miles. Booting up takes not time at all. Get over it and enjoy.

yeah bummer

I'd get this one if i didn't have to boot into 9 to play it. oh well, more games available than i have time to play anyway.

no OS X... :(

This is ANOTHER game that's Classic-only that I won't get just because it's Classic only... I still wish MacSoft would have Vampire: The Masquerade ported to OS X... but I saw the developer's post about them deciding to not do that for various reasons... :P ...damn Classic...
