I think the system requirements are high. The game is very memory usage heavy.

I have been running the beta on my old G4 for the last 3-4 months and I have:
Quicksilver 867 G4
640 MB ram
Retail Radeon 9000 64mb
10.3.5

I have to turn farclip down most of the way but thats not a big deal since i'm not on the PvP server. I can run with my environment detail and texture detail on high and textures low. I usually get between 15-40 fps depending on how many people are on the screen. Average usually hovers around 25 fps when I am out soloing which in my book is still real playable.

I have had a lot of fun in this game. Even got my wife hooked and she has never really played a MMORPG. So that says a lot about how easy this game is to play.

I highly recommend this game. Thanks Rob and the crew at blizzard for not overlooking us mac players.

Only problem I have now is I need a second computer because my wife wants to play now.

I have been playin the stress test, and I gotta say that WOW looks and plays gorgeous. I am definitely in awe over the work done here. Still a lot of money for those who don't have the time to really dig into the game :/....
