I'd dissagree...
Rafael (aka UmarOMC) August 31 - 8:55 AM

A game is a lot more like a "one-to-many" medium than it is a "many-to-many" medium. To get some sort of meme across to the masses and call it a "many-to-many" then, I believe, that should be more along the lines of a medium given freely to the public without built-in personal expressions. Unfortunately this is more applicable to IM software, telephony mediums (for example) and software distributed with opensource licenses, otherwise it is software that is concieved and controlled every step of the way by a relatively few whom approve absolutely all content- that is not "many-to-many."

Yes, obviously it can be counter-argued that my "proofs" are not compatible with either of the polar ideals- but that's Mr. Reid's shortcoming in his article (via Foti's quote) in implying such a bipolar spectrum is applicable to games.

Good, bad? You decide.

"the wisdom and vitality of the crowds"

Now there's something that you don't hear very often.
