So Aspyr just released Civ VI for iOS. If they use Metal for this (which seems likely), I wonder if they could update the macOS version to Metal.

So yeah, Apple has treated gaming poorly over the years. I don't dispute that, but I don't see what that has to do with Deux Ex Mankind Divided.
And only only two Metal games that I know of require High Sierra (Metal 2).

10.13 was supposed to bring eGPU support, but it effectively works less well than 10.12?
Do you have the possibility to test with a radeon GPU?

Apparently the game offers no such option. And unfortunately, macOS drivers do not support game-specific profiles like on Windows. Maybe you can find a way to reduce the monitor refresh rate with some special software like switchresX (which requires disabling SIP).
