Even though they're inspired by different mythologies, the iconography in this game reminds me of Glypha. There was something especially uncanny about that game.

Maybe. But the demo you played was for the milquetoast third game in the series. Pegasus Prime is hard mid-90s SF that takes place entirely in the future, while Buried in Time is more mature and not as self-serious.
I can't say I care much for the dippy AI character they added in PP or the rollicking intro sequence, but it's so much more polished than Turbo! one can't be too critical. I wonder if they'll change anything this time. The trailer is all old footage.

One of the great geek bastions of Mac gaming! It doesn't seem like a "complete remake" at all; but that in itself is a saving grace of sorts.

I agree with nagromme. You get an asset in the asset store out of this, but it'll still be an asset for Wasteland 2.
This is bound to produce a load of similar-looking models. Won't it be strange to be selling a model that looks like one from a published game? It seems like the rights would be hairy, too.

They are using Unity, so the engine is already complete and native. The screenshot is detailed, but since it looks like it will be a layered orthographic composite like BG2, they can render in as much environmental detail as they want. It's the perfect approach for this kind of game. I wish they would hire me so I could be a part of it!
