I nominate DirtyHarry50 for the position of forum moderator.

Seconded and passed.  Harry is now a moderator.

EDIT: Harry is no longer a moderator and I am no longer drunk.  That is not a coincidence.

Fired up Borderlands the Pre-Sequel and got an hour into it. First impressions: Runs a tad worse than Borderlands 2. I don't like the area you start in, it is soooo depressive. The humor doesn't seem to be as well written as the previous games. I am not sure that all the enemies jumping around is fun in the long run, it fits with the setting of course but it makes for a really annoying shooter, and that's one of the things that Borderlands does really well.

I am moving on saturday, so it is unlikely I will get much more time into the game the next couple of weeks.

I didn't like the Pre-Sequel as much as I did the first two.  The others were funnier with a better story and less annoying maps.  That said, I enjoyed the game a lot.  I have come to miss the double jumping I had with the PS, you will find it is a great way to travel on foot plus don't discount the butt slamming.  You will find that it is an effective way to deal with enemies, especially Kragons and other creatures that swarm you.  The first time I saw a fresh corpse sail off over the horizon from a butt slam I knew I had a good thing.  It will grow on you, but don't expect a better game than the first two.

My father being a marine himself, there was no shortage of character building as he liked to call it when I was a kid! I am still afraid of him and even more afraid of my mother.

Damn straight, now THAT is some quality parenting.  We didn't have "failure to launch" in our day.  I blasted off from Earth at 18, launched into orbit by the toe of my parents hobnail boots.  Couldn't visit the house until they got the stink of me out of it.

It's been two days now and still there's no blood on the floor.  Back in the old corps it would have been all over the ceiling and walls.  I blame lenient parents.  Made ya all soft.  My dad would punch me in the mouth to wake me up in the morning then mom would take a belt to me for bleeding on the sheets.</R. Yeah, I agree.  I tried to help steer it away from that, but you are right, it oozed out of the political dimension.  I wanted to back my moderators decision because he is awesome, but I have to revert back to our no tolerance policy.  I'm going to lock this.  Sorry Mr. Ballmer sir.  I'll make it up to you somehow, I've got the brownest nose this side of Miami Beach, I'll make every inch of snoot count.

Dude! Let's play WoW! Come on. You know you want to. Vanilla grinding ftw! Who doesn't love old school time wasting and inconvenience? I am so there!

I'm a huntard and I don't care... I take my pet with me everywhere!

My schedule is very flexible with high availability. Why, just ask macdude22 and the Battle Cat. They'll tell ya.

Oh he's great!  Getting an invite response from Harry is like putting a note in a bottle and throwing it in a landfill.

Sorry about Harry?  No more than we are.  Why that little colon polyp stood me up 10 times in a row trying to play co-op Borderlands 2.

But Mellow Yellow is another failing product nobody wants.  It was the perfect refreshment for the Zune revival!  Are you not paying attention to the humor?  Are you boy?

I've listened to the soundtrack a couple times since, really enjoying it. But I'm wondering how much I'd like it if I hadn't played the game. I mean it's good stuff, but I suspect there is extra emotion attached to it now because of the game. But I guess that's pretty normal for game/movie soundtracks.

Here is a second opinion about the soundtrack from someone who has not played the game.  I've been playing the official Dear Esther soundtrack for the last 40 minutes.  It would fit without disruption into the background music my wife and I play at home on the Spa channel of Sirius XM.  It's very suitable for general activities as well as reading and thinking.  I get a diffused melancholy feeling from some of it.
