TOTAL WAR GAMES GET 2013 UPDATES! NEED YOU TO TEST THEM!

TOTAL WAR GAMES GET 2013 UPDATES!

That’s “updates in 2013”. Not 2,013 updates. That would be silly.

Feral will be patching both Rome: Total War and Empire: Total War this year to fix and improve them based on feedback from all our friends on the internet! Especially YOU. You know who you are.

Anyway, we have received a number of feature requests and suggested improvements for both games so to make sure everything’s working properly, we’d like to invite a group of honourable Total War gamers to try the new versions and give us feedback before we make them available to everyone.

To participate, you will need to already own a copy of either Rome or Empire. You will also need the time to play the game and give us informative feedback about the performance and other aspects of the game.

To encourage you to give the best feedback possible, the 20 people who give us the best feedback will be given beta access to a new strategy game we have yet to announce!

To apply for either patch you need to do the following:

* Apply by emailing Terry.Ester@feralinteractive.com with the phrase “PICK ME” in the subject line.

* Include your computer’s full specifications (CPU/RAM/GPU/OS).
* Make sure you’re running 10.7.5 or later.
* State which game you’re able to test and version of it you own (DVD/Digital/AppStore).

Terry is looking forward to your mails. He’s quite an interesting character. If you’re good we’ll tell you more about him...

Third Party 360 Pad Support

30 November 2012 - 11:45 AM

I was wondering how many of the forum posters have a third party 360 gamepad? I have been doing a bit of poking about to improve the tattiebogle 360 drivers. Currently the official Microsoft pads work and 2 or 3 others using the drivers. However there is a way of adding more pads to the supported list.

If people can tell me the Vendor ID and Product ID (using System Information) of their favourite 360 pads I can make sure my third party pad script adds your pad to the list. So far I have these pads working on OS X.

Device Name - Vendor ID - Product ID

System Information displays the ID's in Hexadecimal not Decimal you can convert the IDs using this webpage.http://www.statman.i...exadecimal.html Here is an example.

In System Information -> USB

XBOX360 GAMEPAD: (RazerOnza)

Product ID:0xfd00
Vendor ID:0x1689

Appears like the following in my pad definition code:

RazerOnzaTE2 5769 64768

As long as I get the Product ID and Vendor ID which you can get using the built in "System Information" in the Application/Utilities folder I am 99% likely to get it working.
