A good read. Especially if you like the old school Bungie! ....Which, some people in here appear to do. :P

Always interested in Halo before Microsoft/343 Industries ran it off the rails.

When there's a multiplayer version, I'm going to be on Frost's team. Well, except he doesn't seem to actually need a team...I mean, what's the point? "Hey look, it's Frost and His Merry Gang of Useless Hangers-On!" Or something.

I liked Halo. But there never was a second release for Mac of course, so I have no idea how the world developed after that.

I also played Halo 2 on Bootcamp. [plagiarism] But there never was a third release for Mac or PC of course (*), so I have no idea how the world developed after that. [/plagiarism]

(*) Except the twin stick shooters Spartan Assault and Spartan Strike.

To be honest, Halo 1 was a poor game IMHO (single player, I don't know about multi). Tedious checkpoints (while most FPS at the time had save anywhere capability), lots of assets reuse (play half the levels, then the remaining  half you backtrack on the same levels, nice trick guys...), bland environment (walls, floor, ceiling, not much else).

I still have my boxed copies of the first two Halo games for PC. I played and enjoyed both of them a long time ago. I wonder if they run alright on Windows 10.

Does for me as well! That was a fantastic look back - especially the early parts. Makes me want to get an xbox one and play through all the remastered ones

Was the sequels as fun as the first game? And a little less repetitive perhaps?

On a somewhat related note: there's a fan project to essentially bring Halo 3 multiplayer to PC (and Mac!). They even got official approval from 343 Industries. (I have to note, though, that their web design is a blatant rip-off of Bungie's.)

Bungie.net. Now there's a website I haven't seen in a while.
