Just to keep this manageable, I'm talking about old school games (like before 2000) that still work natively on MacOS. Enhanced editions count, full remasters don't.

I'm thinking:
  • Baldur's Gate 2
  • Planetscape: Torment
  • Marathon

Avernum. I could play Avernum a hundred more times and never get tired of it.
Star Trek Judgement Rites. This was the first Adventure game I actually owned as a kid on ye olde 575. So it holds a special place. Also it's actually good, so Bonus! This can be had on modern macs on GoG, even if it is the lower res DOS version.

I played Exile back in the day, on a Quadra 610. Good times. Just starting a new Avernum run-through at the moment (the 2011 version).

That said, there aren't many games from the 20th century that still run on modern machines. Icewind Dale is my absolute favourite. I'm still playing it.
You must gather your party before venturing forth.

Marathon, Nethergate Resurrection, and Avernum.  In that order.  All very addictive.

If we go way way back, I played a popsnizzle ton of Cap'n Magneto, Net Trek, Ancient Art of War, and Castle of Ert when I was little. Probably my most played classic Mac games prior to the era where I discovered Marathon and that became my gaming life. Played lots of stuff during the Marathon era, but mostly Marathon and Escape Velocity.

When there's a multiplayer version, I'm going to be on Frost's team. Well, except he doesn't seem to actually need a team...I mean, what's the point? "Hey look, it's Frost and His Merry Gang of Useless Hangers-On!" Or something.

Hell yes, Arashi! I miss playing that on my Mac II.
