Hello,

I found my box with my old classics (games like Doom 3, Starcraft, Need for Speed, Colin Mc Rae Rally etc etc) and I'm trying to reinstall those on my Mac Pro 2012 running OS X 10.12.2 to test my new video card (RX 480 8GB).

Does BATTLEFIELD 2142 is working for you on Sierra? 'case it's the only game that get stuck trying to connect to the EA account.... looks like they changed/deleted servers for the Mac client...

EA shut down the servers for the game completely, including for Windows unfortunately. I think if you Google for it somebody had come up with some local server you could run to play with bots as that also depended on being able to login but I never tried it myself.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news there but it isn't your Mac version. It's just the game was retired by EA.

No, it broke long ago, I think already on Mountain Lion or something. It certainly doesn't help that it wasn't even supported at that time anymore and didn't get the last patch.

It does show as Platinum at WineHQ so best way to run it on Sierra would likely be the PC version using Wineskin or Crossover.

It does actually get stuck when trying to login using the EA account. No way to get around this :wall:

I can't be 100% as I don't have a PC version to try but the comments here suggest an unofficial patch that Dirty Harry mentioned that can be installed and was to get around the servers being shut down:
