It's official: us lot at Feral Interactive are wading headlong into the awesome and perilous world of iOS.

We'll be bringing our first iOS game to your iPad later this year. Feel free to speculate and send us requests. :]

Well, props to you, it will certainly gain you access to a lot more customers. But I'm honestly not sure if – for Mac gamers like me – this is good or bad news…

Whatever it is, bring it to iPhones too. As a 6 Plus user I have no desire for an iPad.

If I had to guess though, it's XCOM 2, which wouldn't work well on a phone.

No worries, our plans for Mac games haven't changed. iOS games are an addition to our desktop platform games, not an alternative. :]

Glad to hear this. I bought the new 9.7" iPad Pro not long ago and would like playing what I consider to be good games on it. The platform is loaded with freemium stuff I won't even look at but fortunately there is a growing number of decent games. Feral developing for iOS is very good news to me.

No idea if this is possible or would be considered but a version of Black & White 2 for the iPad would rock. :)

Your first game for iPad should be Civilization 4: Beyond The Sword.

You can thank me later when you sell billions of copies. Why there has never been a proper Civilization-like game on the iPad is beyond me. The platform is perfect for it.

Civilization Revolution was pretty good, I thought.

I don't think I would want full Civ on an iPad but I have enjoyed both Civ Rev 1 and Civ Rev 2 on the iPhone/iPad. 2's 3d graphics fit on iPad better though, it's a little much on the iPhone (I tend to stick with 1 on my phone)

First person shooters don't translate well to iOS because it really REALLY needs a controller of some sort for the move-aim-shoot mechanics of game play.  Thats my game of choice, so I don't have a recommendation for you Ellie.  I don't even have an iPad, my wife does and takes it with her, so I rarely have access to iPads.  Sooooooooo I don't have anything for you.

Can one use the external keyboards made for an iPad?  If so I might be tempted to lock my wife back down in the basement and try one of your games, I'd even request Quake 2 or Duke Nukem Atomic Edition.  Great games that I can't play anymore.

I would pay good money for a Borderlands Port w/ MFi support.

That would be very cool.

I meant to ask you already, what MFi controller would you recommend for me? I just got the nice cover Apple sells for my iPad so it is protected and also so I can tilt it on my coffee table, bedside table or even the desk when desired for hands off viewing of stuff. It would be awesome to have a good controller to use with it for some games I own already but I didn't know what is decent and what isn't.

Off topic and just FYI, I did buy an Xbox One controller recently and I really like it. I've never had one before. I'll post elsewhere about that later.

Another classic I'd like to see if it was possible is Fable on iOS. Anything in the way of RPGs or ARPGs would be cool.

You know what would be amazing? The old (Snowblind did these I think?) role playing games: Baldur's Gate Dark Alliance and Dark Alliance 2 as well as the Champions of Norrath game. I'd buy those in a heartbeat for iOS. The Bard's Tale release that used the same engine has had releases for PS2, PC, Mac and iOS. I bought that for iOS but have not tried it yet.

In my opinion the best MFi controller you can get right now is the MadCatz C.T.R.L.i (either the regular or the micro, I have the micro)

Regular

That's not to say its super great, but it appears to be the best out of slim pickings right now.

Here's a case of dreaming big dreams... can you imagine if it became possible to work a deal with EA to release the entire Command & Conquer series including the Red Alert games on iOS? OMG! That would be so amazing. I think most fans would be perfectly fine with stopping at C&C 3 and skipping C&C 4 but everything else just wow. That would so rock.

The Elder Scrolls: Morrowind would be fabulous too but thanks to Bethesda that will probably never, ever happen sadly.

Thank you. I just added that to my Amazon wish list. That is cool how it can hold the iPhone too, very cool. I'll pick that up when I can.

That reminds me! DiRT 2 anyone? Heck, DiRT 3 better still? DiRT 3 for iOS. Yes, please! I love driving in the snow at night.

The clip on the Micro is kind of chintzy, I don't think it would hold up well to children. So I don't let my children use it :teehee:

Speaking of iOS - Will Feral also do tvOS ports at the same time, since the two platforms are quite similar? The Apple TV is starving for proper AAA-like releases.

The gaming rush I expected never happened.. :(

Nope, but hey, we're always open to new things (evidently). We'll let you know.

Apple TV isn't happening until they beef it up which is fine. I think they may do that eventually.
