Anyone know a reputable spot where I can download Snow Leopard? I need to to install OS X on an older 2009 Macbook that a friend has.

Apple doesnt sell any replacement DVDs for macs that CANT run the newer OSX? Wow, I am so not surprised.
Hmmm... since we don't advocate piracy here, the obvious answers cannot be said. No one sells Snow Leopard... so how does one get it if no one sells it? I see your issue and raise you a catch22 !

They were going for like $10-20 on eBay like a year ago. Might check there and see if people still have it.
EDIT: Looks like they still are.

I assume they will sell it until 10.12 or 10.13 drops support for the last currently el captain compatible macs that came with 10.5.

Can I install Snow Leopard on my late-2013 iMac? I want to do that so I can complain about how anything newer sucks and how it was the last time OS X was decent, life was worth living, etc.
Can I? Can I?
If Apple does not provide driver support for this they suck and are not a good company.

To be clear: its only piracy if you dont actually own a license.
If you have a legit license, you can download an installer image all you want.

I remember taking off work to drive to Des Moines to get Snow Leopard. I'm dum.
I also have my dog tags from driving to The Mall of America to get 10.3. That was also a dum night.
