Stop laughing! No, seriously. Stop it right now!

This just in: VP is hard at work on ports (currently in alpha) of the thrilling and epic Overlord games, both Overlord (with its expansion it appears) and Overlord II - just in time for the release of the the third Overlord game which they aren't porting.

Read next to nothing about them here:

http://www.vpltd.com

I have played some of the first game in Windows and it is pretty fun stuff.

I played the first one on 360, it was a hoot. I think I have them both in steam from a sale but I've never gotten around to playing the second one. They are old enough maybe the usual vpld hit will be made up by modern computing power.

They can do whatever they want as long as they stay far away from the games I'm interested in... :glare:

Do VP games get SteamPlay support? I got them on Steam a loooooong time ago. Played the first one a bit, hard drive died, never got back to them.

It seems for the most part they are Steamplay, yes. I'd expect these ones to be.

'Overlord: Raising Hell' was released on the Mac App Store and VP's own Store a few days ago.

Overlord II is still in beta.

Overlord II for Mac is now out on Steam, but not on the Mac App Store.
Saints Row II & III are also out on Steam for Linux, not for Mac (yet).

Bohemia Interactive has outsourced the development on the Mac & Linux ports of ARMA III and
VP has landed the job, as they list ARMA III as 'In Development' on their website now.

Well, as tempting as that is I'm going with the fantastic PS4 version. You can read about the greatness here and become excited:

And apparently Mac, Linux ports of ARMA 3!? That's news to me! Anyone try this? Mac Gamer HQ has some gameplay on YouTube. Looks more than playable.

Caught ARMA3 on sale, $20. Just getting a black screen with white pointer on my setup. Virtual Programming have done their signature work again. Can't find a way around it.

In all fairness, there's probably a reason why that port is still in beta.

https://dev.arma3.com/ports - if you read, they say there is no guarantee they will ever graduate out of  beta and/or possibly remain experimental. The performance was atrocious on my pimped out iMac, but it was playable.

Additionally to 'Putty Squad', VP has some more Mac ports coming up:
'Panzer Corps', 'Frog Climbers' and 'ARMA: Cold War Assault' (also known as 'Operation Flashpoint: Cold War Crisis').
