Some UK seller. I'd never heard of them, either. Key worked fine, though it took a few hours to get sent.

The key point here is: Don't actually buy anything ON steam. They don't care enough about mac users, so why should your money go to them?

Well, I can't get the game to work. Launches fine, crashes when I start the game. Can't ask Feral to help, though, because I'm running on a hackintosh. Edit: It's not only me, but it apparently only happens with the nVidia web drivers (real mac or not).

That wasn't my key point at all. Just wanted to point out the best deal. We don't need to turn this into another "let's bash Steam" brigade.

Hang on. I want to see if you can rescue the beginnings of a good thought here.

What do you base your accusation that they don't care enough about mac users?

So, does that mean it works for you with OS X default drivers?

I can't use the default drivers because I have a 970, but check the Feral thread, someone with a 780M says it works fine with the default drivers.

Great. The web drivers fix Metro 2033/LL Redux and break Alien: Isolation? :nods:

Am I right in saying the base game plus the season pass is the same as the collection?

I wonder if anyone has seen the newest web drivers fix this and the BL2 and BRTPS crash out problems??

Aspyr patched both BL2 (1.8.4) and TPS (1.0.7) today.
All changes are listed here.

I updated and switched to the latest nVidia web driver, in the hopes that it would help my crashing out problem. It did, and so far, so good.

BL2 and BLTPS are more stable now.

Just got it for $12.49 on Humble Bundle—it states it doesn't work on Mac but I just successfully redeemed it on Steam. They've all add-ons super cheap as well but given that I'm sure I'll be having anxiety attacks enough with the main game I'll pass.

Edit: Damnit, it's force quitting. I've things to do and I'll try again later with NVIDIA's Web Drivers disabled but it downloads/installs fine.

The add-ons are the main thing I'm interested in, actually. I wanted to see how they made out with the mission featuring the original movie's cast members. But I am resisting the temptation for now-- the gameplay seems too intense for me.

The atmosphere and audio are terrific (good headphone setting that really gives a 3D space). The puzzle and UI elements are brilliant evocations of 1979 "future" tech, and the glitchy design is fantastic. I admit to getting a bit frustrated with the sneak & squeak gameplay, but I'm probably just too habituated to shooters.

I was the same way with Outlast. :)

Still force quitting in the middle of loading/starting the actual game with NVIDIA Web Drivers. Where'd I leave that box marked "dammit!"?

You left it on top of the file folder named "Shart"
