Beamdog have announced an expansion for the enhanced edition of Baldur's Gate.

Siege of Dragonspear will bridge the gap between BG1 and -2, and offer 25 hours of gameplay, with a bunch of new areas set in- and around the Sword Coast. Four new party companions are also available. BG:EE is required for purchase, with pricing and release information coming soon™. Mac and iOS versions are promised.
You must gather your party before venturing forth.

TBH I'm a bit disappointed. I was excited to see what they could do without the shackles of the infinity engine...and they used the infinity engine.

At least it's pretty big as far as expansions go. On the live stream they said 25 hours is pretty conservative.

Wait... there is a "The Battle Hog"?  Perhaps we should all rethink bacon.

Silly kitten, it's the Battle Hamster.

Alive and too busy playing RPGs to reply to this.... oh crap. You got me!

So to stay on the topic I think this is a really nice concept and I can't wait to see what Boo does between the two games I always held as my best favourites ever.

Bumping to say that the game has been released and is available from the usual online places.

(It's getting mixed reviews at GoG due to pointless Internet culture wars crossfire. Childish and disappointing, but there it is)

Luckily, those reviews are easily ignorable, and the critic reviews are pretty good. Will definitely pick it up at some point...White March, Shadowrun: HK, Wasteland 2 to finish first. Too. Many. RPGs.

I hear you. I'm still making my way through BG:EE which I purchased a couple of years ago. And my nth replay of IWD.
