Good lord how does one play Kerbal Space Program???

I was testing the game out shortly from our build on MGS (to see if it did in fact run ok on 10.6.8 as advertised), and thought 'well I'll give it a shot for an hour'... uh. Holy crap.

If I buy this for my game rig (PC), I kind of want to know what I would be getting into, and ... well ... "how do you play this?!" Maybe I should stick with what I know, and not venture into something like this? Or, is there a more fun side of this serious physics teachers tool?

Well, those are all fine and good, but, is the game actually any real FUN to play? Or is it just a physics geek fiddle widget?

It's been a while since I played, but the trick is to incorporate an automatic stabiliser thingy (not the correct name) when you build your stack.

I found it tremendous fun, although I never got further than low Kerbal orbit and back again.
You must gather your party before venturing forth.

Scott Manley has some great tutorials on YouTube. He's an astronomer so you get to learn Cool Space Facts while learning the game. He also has a great Scottish accent.
