Aspyr's relationship with the Mac App Store is kind of interesting.
They release more and more MAS exclusive games, but during their Autumn and Winter sales it hardly got any love.
Hardly any games are discounted, those which are still sport higher prices than on game agent, and no IAPs discounts at all.

I wonder if they'll do a MAS sale soon...

The plain vanilla versions of Borderlands 2 and the Pre-Sequel are quite cheap now. But you're right about the IAPs -- there are hardly any sales in general. Some Feral games on MAS are discounted at the moment. I've bought LEGO Lord of the Rings for only 5 bucks a few days ago.

Feral has dropped the price (50-75%) of over 15 of their games until early January.

Civilization V and Borderlands 2 with IAPs are each 100 bucks on MAS, while on gameagent the Complete Editions are down to 10.
The Pre-Sequel isn't that bad though, 55 on MAS and 34 on gameagent, 23 if bought as season pass bundle.

The Mac App Store is clearly limited due to its lack of support for season passes and bundles.
But discounting IAPs is possible, but hardly ever done. Sadly.

Yeah, any DLC heavy game I would not consider buying on the app store even if heavily discounted because you'll get nailed on the DLC if you want it. I'd always go Steam for that stuff including deals on keys wherever is good of course.

I agree, Steam has the better deals on DLCs, as usual.
Ah well, it's not like Aspyr can't do it for the MAS, they did it with Borderlands 2 once.

Feral usually puts Complete or Game of the Year Editions in the App Store including all the DLC. Even for newer releases like LEGO Jurassic World or Thief. I think that's one of the positive aspects of being a Mac gamer: In many cases we get the complete package.

Yep. I am totally fine with getting games later that come as a complete package. Absolutely. My inclination in the Windows world was and still usually is to hold out until I can get that anyway. The exception might be a sale where the DLC is so cheap along with the game that it's basically the same thing.

For somebody who opposes the whole idea of cut up games sold in so many slices it is funny just how much DLC I own but that's all accumulated over time according to the rules laid out above here. This is why Europa Universalis IV will probably be on its version V or even VI before I buy the damn thing with at least most of its DLC included. No way am I shelling out for all that. It's incredible. They charge you to add 3 songs to the soundtrack at a time. They charge you to add little dancing pony guys to the map. Sprite by fancy Sprite they milk the living daylights out of their customers but apparently the hardcore buy the stuff because they keep right on doing it. I guess I can't blame them considering that but I won't do that. No way.

So what's the object of the game?  Is it a puzzler?  A survivor game?  What?

But they actually only seem to act as publisher: as far as I can see, that game always was in development as cross-platform title.

Aside from publishing other people's games, I'm wondering what Aspyr has in store for us…

They are probably just busy porting KotOR II to iOS and Android.

They also mentioned on twitter:

SHOCKING new information: Our next project is coming to the Mac. [...]
So no mention of a Linux port.
I was thinking of 'Civilization VI', which has Mac (and no Linux) depots on Steam or 'System Shock: Enhanced Edition', but that one has Mac & Linux depots on Steam.
