Awesome!  And of course, educational as well as entertaining so even more bang for the buck so to speak.  My kids (6) love the Putt Putt games, and most (if not all) are now available on the iPad so no need to take up daddy's computer time.  I'm thinking Santa will load up a Pajama Sam or two for Xmas.

All the Humongous games were great. I used to play them for hours with my kids. Pajama Sam was probably our favorite. I still have most of the Humongous library on the original CD's, but those are't really useful any more. I'm considering buying the whole lot again on Steam so I can corrupt my grandkids and attempt to turn them into gaming zombies. It only worked with one of my kids though. Hoping I have better luck with the grandkids. Outdoors is overrated. After all, as P.J O'Rouke once said, "the great outdoors is why we created the great indoors." ;)

They had the whole shebang on steam sale a few weeks ago for 24.99. 30 classics for about a buck a piece. I was sold.

Humongous posted this with MGS: http://www.macgamest...s-Holiday-Pack/ Its not all of them, but its quite a smattering for low bux. (and that bundle is a steam code bundle, so they all go to steam).

Tempting. Wish it had Dark Outside as opposed to Thunder and Lightning though. Thanks for the heads up.

An ever better deal was last July's "Humble Flash Bundle: Humongous Entertainment!": $20 for 29 games in the Humongous Entertainment Complete Pack.

Humble Humongous Mobile Bundle live for two weeks: https://www.humblebundle.com/mobile
Currently 3 Putt-Putt games, 2 Freddy Fish, 2 Pajama Sam, 1 Spy Fox, with more to come.
Mainly for Android, but the third tier at $11 unlocks Steam keys (Mac, Windows, Linux) for these games.
The games run fine on my wife's old Samsung Galaxy Tab tablet, and this is easier to use for a 4 year old than the laptop (although his trackpad skills are l33t already!).

When I was a dad... oh, wait. I still am a dad. It's just that my babies who played the Putt Putt games are both out of college now and professionally employed, one with a child of her own. I'll have to let her know she can get Putt Putt for him to play on her Macbook.

My girls started playing as early as the Davidson Math games for little ones going back as far as CGA graphics being the only option. Later the Reader Rabbit games were really popular and they enjoyed them too. Putt Putt however was greater than all. Putt Putt Goes to the Moon was a favorite I recall. Great stuff!

It's really nice to see these games are still around for kids to enjoy. It seems a shame to me that all the Reader Rabbit titles, Davidson titles and apps like them are not still being sold today at places like the App Store, Steam, etc. I would think parents would buy those often if they were available. They are fun and the kids do learn from them.

Damn, I have to start thinking about this from now on. I just had my first child 7 days ago, a beautiful girl. Brave new world!

He probably had a C-section. Not that I'm judging.  Get 'em out however you can.

Nah, I didn't have that honor. Did get to see them pull the baby out of my girlfriends C-section though. Nowhere near as bloody as I had anticipated!

Watching a C-section is the worst. Good news doc. You got 3 people to deal with, the baby, my wife, and me having just passed out in the OR.

You must have been disappointed, but still it's a joyous occasion and maybe next time she'll erupt in fountains of blood so take heart my friend.
