Those people in the IMG Writers group may post new topics directly to this forum.  This change effectively opens the forum up to IMG Writers whereas before it was handled through a front end.  Members will still be able to comment on news items per usual but may not post a new topic.

IMG Writers, your break is over.  Back to work!  We need you back!

I liked Snake's Destiny review even though it wasn't a Mac product. I vote we writerify him after he signs a contract to bang out 42 quality reviews per week.
Kestrel (Falcon NW Tiki) – 4.0 GHz i7 4790K / 16GB RAM / 512GB Samsung 950 Pro M.2, 2x480GB Intel 730 (RAID0), 10TB STX BarraCuda Pro / GeForce GTX TITAN X 12GB
Iridium (MacBook Pro Mid-2012) – 2.7 GHz i7 3820QM / 16GB RAM / 2TB Samsung 850 Pro / GeForce GT 650M 1GB

When there's a multiplayer version, I'm going to be on Frost's team. Well, except he doesn't seem to actually need a team...I mean, what's the point? "Hey look, it's Frost and His Merry Gang of Useless Hangers-On!" Or something.

This needs to be decided by the IMG Editor.  I won't step on his toes.  I don't know who the editor was when the news went down and I need his forum name or an email address to send to tell him the forum is back up for news and reviews.  I think I can set it up for the editor to moderate the news and reviews forums only, with the ability to keep news and review topics hidden until he approves them.  Writers and reviewers have the ability to edit their posts and can leave drafts in the forum until they are ready and approved by the editor.

I could commit to 42 one word reviews per week

Yeah, no wall of text.  Brilliant.  I'm selling all my cardboard shares to invest in this!  We'll PR the hell out of him, make him pose on his desk like Bill Gates tossing floppies.  The writers could introduce him to their cool friends in Hollywood like Pepe LePew and Space Ghost.  If we can only make his life a total wreck then he might get picked up for a reality show.  He can be dressed like a snake with like one broken fang and a big scar across his chest frothing away and when the camera pans to him for his big shot he gargles whiskey while shouting the word.  Then he bites a rat.  I'd pay a dollar to see that.

The only flaw in our plan is that there's only 168 hours in a week - which means I'll only have about 4 hours to beat a game and post my review. Challenge accepted.

You only have to multitask. If you have 42 computers running one game each, you could play every game full 168 hours. You certainly know how to operate a couple of keyboards and mice simultaneously with every hand and foot and maybe the one or the other controller with tongue and nose, don't you?

Or just look at screenshots and write your reviews off what you see there. Thats about the caliber of other 'popular' game review sites.

That new Sanic game looks tight yo. 8/8. Must proceed in a fast velocity.

Cord Kruse is the IMG News Editor.  I contacted him with the details of the new news and reviews forums but he wants to check with Tuncer first.  Apparently he was waiting for Tuncer to get back to him on this.  Cord Kruse (Kilvain) was the only news writer!  That guy isn't just a work horse he is a Percheron!  If he decides to do this I'm sure he is going to want some help.  Those of you into writing news and reviews get your arms ready to raise when he calls for volunteers.  I'm looking at you Mr. Snake.  Make us proud.  But that goes for all those willing to give it a shot.

Considering that Cord's had to put up with my sloppy writing, I second the three-cheers for Cord. I actually started writing about my experiences playing classic games with WINE on another Mac gaming website, and when I approached him about writing for IMG, from the get-go, Cord was an avid supporter (I think the only thing he vetoed was my proposed series of articles examining Katawa Shoujo, which...well, he turned down for very understandable and legitimate reasons :) ).

I hope he stays on...I've still got some review articles in the pipeline that I've been readying for the site!

Yes!  I'm afraid Cord isn't going to come back.  Until we know for sure I'll give you IMG Writers privs.  If Cord comes back, he's the boss.  K?
