Thanks for the info. Guess I can live with that one...

Nisha was going to be my next play through, but now I have games out the wazoo.

Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel is once again on sale.
The Mac App Store price for the main game is decent and is the same as its Steam/Gameagent/MGS counterpart.
I just wonder why Aspyr won't discount the DLC IAPs for the Mac App Store.

They probably have to sacrifice a chicken to the gods of accounting for Apple to approve an IAP sale

Right... IAP discounts are pretty rare nowadays.
I remember Aspyr doing a $2 sale on all Borderlands 2 IAPs, but that was like 1½ years ago.
Still, the price for the whole deal on the MAS is still above 50 bucks, while you can get the Steam version for less than 25.

Feral usually has equal deals across the different stores, I wonder why Aspyr doesn't manage to do that.

Aspyr just dropped the price for the IAPs for the first time...

Same here on the Mac App Store version. Starting up in Single Player Mode, and out of Game Center will resolve this issue.

Does anyone know the resolutions available for TPS? Somehow I'm not able to choose any resolution above 1440x900 on my MacBook Pro, even when launching the game in a higher resolution OS X.
1920x1200 was definitely available in Borderlands 2. I can't believe they would have dropped that resolution.

Aspyr knows about the issue with random crashing and is still investigating, with Apple.

Is anyone still running TPS on El Capitan?
Can you check what resolutions are available?
Aspyr recommended deleting the preference file, that didn't help much.

I'm somewhat disappointed in Aspyr's support.
Two weeks in and we are still talking about my screen resolution and system preferences...

The game runs for me under El Capitan (just checked – Steam version, though). The currently highest available resolution for me is indeed 1440x900, but so is in Borderlands 2. And in fact, I'm sure that always was the highest available resolution in BL2 – when the "Standard" setting is chosen in OS X's Monitor control panel. Higher resolutions become available when choosing scaled resolutions for "More space". I have seen this in quite a few other games (e.g. Bioshock Infinite). There are some oddities how Retina resolutions are recognised.

Exactly.
Let's say I'm running OS X in 1920x1200 and start up a game.
Borderlands 2 recognises that and makes resolutions like 1680x1050 and 1920x1200 available.
The Pre-Sequel, no matter how high the resolution in OS X, won't show me more than 1680x1050.

So I'm wondering doesn't the game support more resolutions, or is it a bug/feature of the MAS version.

It could in fact be the case that this is a MAS specific problem: the Steam version lets me pick higher resolutions when selecting "More Space" in the System Preferences.

Thanks a lot, for clarifying that.
I also tried launching after a SMC and NVRAM reset, and under a new user, but it just won't change anything.

I contacted Aspyr two weeks ago about the issue, I don't know if they were able to reproduce it, but let's hope they'll do something about it.

Aspyr confirmed that the Mac App Store version of Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel is currently capped to a resolution of 1680x1050.
They are investigating the issue and will release a patch to increase the resolution.
