New Mac version of GameRanger
A huge amount of work has gone into it, but the Mac version now works fine with Mac OS X 10.9 (Mavericks), 10.10 (Yosemite), and 10.9 (El Capitan). The minimum version of Mac OS X required is now 10.4 (Tiger) instead of 10.3.9 (Panther).
Unfortunately the same can not be said of many of the Mac games themselves that no longer work on the newer versions of Mac OS X. That's outside of GameRanger's control.

Oh
My
Peas

Does this mean we can play borderlands again. <head asplode>
 I wouldn't have expected that…

But with all the work that has gone into it, he could have spent a few minutes more to adapt it to Retina displays (or at least include a higher resolution icon).

I don't know... It took too long. Gameranger was practically dead for both Mac gamers and porting houses.

Borderlands 1 multiplayer maybe?

That's what I'm talking about baby. After Game Ranger broke in 10.9 it made BL1 all but useless on OS X. Even though it runs fine, what was the point if I couldn't KILL EVERYTHING with my friends.

Does Borderlands 1 have raid bosses (IE Crawmerax) or is one forced to play the story in coop?

There's mad moxies underdome which is wave after wave of bad guys until you reach the predetermined kill limit.

This. Procrastinated straight into irrelevance. Sorry, Scott.

When there's a multiplayer version, I'm going to be on Frost's team. Well, except he doesn't seem to actually need a team...I mean, what's the point? "Hey look, it's Frost and His Merry Gang of Useless Hangers-On!" Or something.

Don't be pessimistic, be optimistic. GameRanger is a nimble navigator.

I'm up for some BL1 coop this Saturday night, if you don't mind slumming it with a level 53 Si-reen.

I need to see if I can copy my windows save to OS X. I don't think I have any OS X saves, I used to play it on my old macbook but I'm not sure I ever copied them over in the switch.

I guess worst case I can play on Windows but it will disappoint the nimble centipede.

What's wrong with playing it in Winblows against OS X?  How will it disappoint?

I'm afraid it's just being realistic at this point. Even Aspyr's stripped GameRanger from the games they're still maintaining. Scott shouldn't have gone all Valve Time with GR if he intended to keep it going.
