I'm actually the opposite. I find it a lot harder to get into feeling like I am the character if it's a woman (except in the case of a really sympathetic one like Lara in the rebooted Tomb Raider, or a really well-written one like FemShep in Mass Effect), so 9 out of 10 times if there's a choice I'll go with a dude (NTTAWWT).
Kestrel (Falcon NW Tiki) – 4.0 GHz i7 8086K / 32GB RAM / 2TB Samsung 960 Pro M.2, 2x480GB Intel 730 (RAID0), 10TB STX BarraCuda Pro / TITAN Xp 12GB
Iridium (MacBook Pro Mid-2012) – 2.7 GHz i7 3820QM / 16GB RAM / 2TB Samsung 850 Pro / GeForce GT 650M 1GB
Antimony (PowerBook G4 2001) – 1.0 GHz PPC 7455 / 1GB RAM / 512GB Micron M600 / Radeon 9000 64MB

When there's a multiplayer version, I'm going to be on Frost's team. Well, except he doesn't seem to actually need a team...I mean, what's the point? "Hey look, it's Frost and His Merry Gang of Useless Hangers-On!" Or something.

I really wasn't getting into the mind of my character all that much when I played WoW or SWTOR, usually MMOs were my check out and drink a 6 pack games. Which 3 beverages in I was real happy to be looking at a female blood elf rump instead of an undead male.

I actually only went with FemShep in ME1 because BroShep's voice actor was AWFUL.  I played the first hour as BroShep and immediately rerolled.  At least Jen Hale is pleasant to listen to.

A Male Chiss Imperial Agent in SWTOR, though, was pretty great.  The voice actor alone made it worth it.

The female Smuggler was a hoot. Didnt care for any of the female jedis.

If I gotta stare at my characters ass for several hours a day I want it to be a nice ass.

Ha, I've heard this reasoning before. But don't get me wrong. I sometimes pick the female choice as in games as well and being able to relate to them is not an issue for me whatsoever. The bleedingeyes has more to do with the fact that they are all guys in a hypothetical nerd orgy.  *now goes and checks my privilege* :P

In other words I'm not trying to make an issue of guys picking female avatars for themselves in games. :)

In all honesty however I have about as much in common with a genetically enhanced vanilla gorilla super soldier man as I do with a female character. They both have things I don't have. :P

I can dig that! I ran through ME1 as FemShep after my first playthrough just to see how parts of the story changed (not all that much it turns out), and encountering Jennifer Hale in the lead was a treat. She's gotta be one of my favorite voice actresses. She was unimpressive in Halo 4, which I largely blame on 343 having a script that the ghosts of Richard Harris and Laurence Olivier probably couldn't even save, but most of the time she does a great job.

What were we talking about again? Oh yeah. Nevermind what I said before, let's get a running game starring Miranda.

Shes pretty nice in person, too.  Watching her play Cards Against Humanity with the other guests (including the guy who does Duke Nukem) was the highlight of one our recent shows.

I don't think anyone's released Running Simulator 2014. Considering how well Rock Simulator 2014 is doing on Steam Greenlight, I think you're onto something.

I think we've stumbled onto a gold mine. Running Simulator 2014, starring Video Gaming's Best Asses.
