Just picked up a 13" rMBP  (2.6 i5, 8 mb ram, 512 sad, & iris graphics) and curious what games I'll be able to run.
Picked up Civ V with G&K and BNW and I am pleased with the performance.  Played on a big map with a bunch of civs and city states it starts getting a tiny bit laggy after everyone is getting pretty built out and it does make the rMBP run hot like the sun.  But still satisfactory performance.
Thinking about RealMyst Masterpiece Edition (I've never actually played RealMyst, just Myst a thousand times) and Sim City 4 (last version of SimCity I played was the original version!) next.

And it's nice to be back :)

If your macbook pro feels hot that's sorta a good thing. It means the heat it being dissipated away from the CPU/GPU. Better that then having all that heat locked inside with nowhere to go...

I don't have Iris, but I have the HD4400 iGPU in my laptop (which is slower then Iris), and I have to say I'm quite pleased with the gaming performance. Obviously it's nothing like a dedicated GPU, but I can pretty much anything on the lower side of demanding at ok settings (medium-low settings 1080p, 45-60 fps). Games like Tropico 4, League of Legends, Dota 2, FTL, Starcraft 2, and Hearthstone all run great.
