Gearbox Software has announced that Mad Moxxi and the Wedding Day Massacre, the fourth installment in the downloadable Headhunter add-ons for Borderlands 2, will be released on February 11. Aspyr Media has confirmed that the Mac version will release on the same day as its Windows counterpart. The Headhunter DLC gives players adventures revolving around various new bosses and the players' struggles to defeat them and steal their heads to wear as prizes. Gearbox also revealed that Sir Hammerlock Versus the Son of Crawmerax, the sixth and final Headhunter add-on, will be released in April.

Mad Moxxi and the Wedding Day Massacre was inspired by one of our favorite holidays and is full of love and cuddles, but with a Borderlands twist. This add-on features the return of Innuendo Bot 5000 and its creator, Mad Moxxi, as they try to bring two rival clans together with the help of the Vault Hunters. They think love and understanding will bring peace to the clans, but as you know, things don’t always work out the way you’d hope on Pandora – especially when it involves the Hodunks and the Zafords. Ellie also makes an appearance and tries to help out too, but she isn’t very keen on keeping things civil.

Fret not, though – you can at least bring joy to a couple of new robot characters in love with each other. When you first encounter these characters, you’ll have to work to bring them together because they can’t muster up the courage to confess their love on their own. During all this match-making, you’ll have to keep an eye out for Threshers, especially the ones that live in The Rainbrew Room as they may be swimming in… let’s just call it “the left-over distillery products”.

Like all of our previous Headhunter add-ons, once you beat the final enemy, you’ll get a new head and skin for each character class. This time the heads are a little more graphic. With these new heads, you’ll also get an inside look at the Vault Hunters, especially Zer0… though it should be said that his new head is named “N0t C4n0n” for a reason.

Up to now, it is safe to say that Borderlands 2 has seen a lot of extra content added in the 17 months since it released – to the point where we’re pushing some technical limitations making it near impossible to add more missions, items and such. With that said, we still have one more Headhunter add-on planned. So, make sure to look out for the fifth and final Headhunter add-on for Borderlands 2, Sir Hammerlock Versus the Son of Crawmerax, coming in April and featuring the offspring of a fan-favorite enemy from the first Borderlands!

Mad Moxie and Miss Ellie... two of my favorite characters, throw in Tina Tina and I'd be in hog heaven.  Right now I taking my awesome and horrific Mechromancer through True Vault Hunter mode and plan to play the DLCs when I finish that play through.  I did play Torque's Campaign of Carnage after the first play through but soon it will be time to focus on the extra content which is just as fun as the game.  Hope there is a Borderlands 3 out there somewhere floating in amniotic fluid.  This game has surpassed my love of Marathon.

Since Borderlands 2 is 2K's most successful game ever, I'd be surprised if there weren't.

Like all good things... sequels follow until its a beaten dead horse...

Thankfully the Borderlands sequel enhanced/surpassed the first. So does that mean a third would do the same?

2 is much better that the first and the original was amazingly fun.  I would imagine that they would have the funds and the motivation to improve on the second because of it being their best seller.  2 proves to me that they KNOW what was good and bad about the original game because 2 reflects that in the positive improvements they made in the game.  I'm reasonably confident that 3 will continue that tradition.

Question: What or where are the Head Hunters #2 and #3, when Wedding Day Massacre is #4?

Aspyr I guess didn't want to bother selling those two with MGS. But they offered the 4th. Heh. Oookay.

Aspyr probably is aware that people react negatively to their products when a normally pristine download is covered in greasy fingerprints and smelling of Black Russians.

Yeah, I noticed the somewhat odd selection during the recent BL2 sale on the MGS. For some reason, they also offer the Ultimate Vault Hunter Upgrade Pack 2, but not the first one…

In all fairness, its their choice... there is so many bloody DLC's that trying to manage them in multiple locations becomes a tedious hell. I blame the base game developers for that nonsense, milking every penny out of people with tiny little packs, and a plethora of them making a mile long list of things to get. This is why I like GOTY editions, or full packs.
