Double Fine has unveiled a couple of new trailers and some screenshots showcasing the company's Kickstarted point-and-click adventure title, Broken Age. The trailers focus on the voice acting talent working on the game, including Elijah Wood and Wil Wheaton. The game follows the parallel lives of a boy and girl who will face unique challenges and encounter adventure.

Broken Age is a point-and-click adventure telling the stories of a young boy and girl leading parallel lives. The girl has been chosen by her village to be sacrificed to a terrible monster--but she decides to fight back. Meanwhile, a boy on a spaceship is living a solitary life under the care of a motherly computer, but he wants to break free to lead adventures and do good in the world. Adventures ensue.

Broken Age development began when we asked our community if they would help us create a classic-style adventure game without needing to rely on traditional publishers. It turns out they did.

Sad, what those two actors have been reduced too.

What has happened to Elijah Wood since LOTR? I know he's liked doing horror/thriller movies since then, but is his career really sorta at this point where he's doing voice acting for random games that no one's ever heard about?

Seems like both are doing pretty well to me. There are other ways at achieving success that don't necessarily involve being in front of a movie camera.

That "random game" is the fabled Double Fine Adventure that kicked off the ongoing Kickstarter frenzy.

I doubt Elijah Wood is hurting for cash... unless he has a serious cocaine habit.

There's a bunch of games that would probably claim the same thing. I follow multiple gaming new sources daily, and this is the first I've heard of this game.

You might have been not too attentive when doing so. :P Especially since Broken Age's delay and need for money was quite a topic a few months ago.
