So i want to buy modern warfare 2 for my mac to play with my call of duty freak friends.
When i look it up on steam it shows a logo for windows. even though i have a downloaded version on my mac that works fine, it only says constantly: error iwnet invalid version. When i go to multiplayer it goes to steam where it shows that i have to buy the game. Does this mean you can't buy mw2 on steam?

Sounds like asking for help on a pirated/hacked game.

An official Mac port was never made, so no you can't. Your options are crossover/wine, a wrapper, or bootcamp.

How is this asking for pirated help? He's asking about buying the game on steam.

However, if it WERE in relation to being pirated, then you'd have to play on cracked servers. But really, you could find out about all that in a simple google search.

Edit: Oh hey, read it a little too fast there. So I get where the pirated allegation comes up now. Honestly, he didn't word his question very well.
