I read somewhere that Sony is taking a back stance on the sale of used games, but I can't find the source again of course. Can anyone help me?

I'm planning on picked a PS4 up this Friday. Is the traditional IMG PS crew jumping ship to PS4 (teflon? Haven't seen him in awhile)
I'm considering it, but not on launch. For one, I still have too many unfinished PS3 titles to even think about getting a new console, secondly, there simply aren't any titles for the PS4 available that early that really interest me. I think, Watch Dogs might be the first PS4 game that would pique my interest.

The majority of the games I'm excited for don't come out till 2014 (Destiny, Elder Scrolls Online), but I'm looking forward to playing BF4 and possibly Killzone (depends on reviews) in the meantime.

I picked up the PS3 on launch day and it wasn't worth it. To be quite honest, I only purchased the console to play the Lemmings HD remake, one of my favourite Amiga and Mac games ever. Seems like I have always been a retro gamer. Getting old. :P

The Shadow Fall reviews are out. That game looks amazing. I've been a Killzone fan since 2, but this game is looking like that best yet. The finally got rid of that depressing colour palette, and added in really interesting level design.

Positives:
- Single Player levels aren't nearly as linear, offering choice between stealth, guns blazing, and optional objectives, etc.
- Graphics are gorgeous
- Multiplayer has been revamped, combining some of the best elements of Halo and BF, and bringing them to KZ (custom modes, customization system, etc.)

They're calling it the best Killzone yet. I'm very excited. I will be playing this over BF4, and Ghosts (Can't stand COD anymore to be honest)

I can't wait myself. I loved KZ1 and 2 but I honestly thought 3 was kind of meh. KZ4/Shadowfall looks amazing though, and I don't mean just the graphics.

And the same on the other two. Battlefield 4 I'd much rather play at 2-3x the detail on my Tiki, and I've no interest in COD. I do want to pick up Drive Club though.

Shadowfall could be interesting. Not sold on gamespot giving it a low rating though. Multiplayer looks cooler then the call of duty games. Then again, when I played through Killzone 2 single player I went straight to multiplayer and played for months on end.

Resogun looks like a cross between Sine Mora and Flow. Pretty cool that PS Plus members get it for free.

Was able to get a PS4 by lining up this morning at Target. Lines seem to be a lot less aggressive then they were with the 360/PS3. Picked up Killzone, AC4, and Fifa.

So I am the 0.4%. Hooked up my PS4... no video. That said, Sony more than made it worth my while to wait, so I'm not too pissed.

I'm also not too pissed because I'll just take one that's meant for upgraded resale and use it in the meantime. :)

That sucks. My friend got his shipped to him so it arrived on the 14th. It worked fine for a few days, and then died on saturday night. It kept crashing, video card issues (tearing and stuff all over the screen), and then finally failed to turn on after. I'm wondering if the amount of broken PS4's seems high since they sold a million of them (completely crushing every other console launch), or if it's really as low as 0.4% like they say.

On the topic of games: KZ:SF has an excellent campaign. There's a couple large plot holes surrounding the whole premise, but the actual campaign is very good in my opinion. I'm enjoying it more then any other KZ campaign. My only complaint is that it seems very easy. I'm playing on the hardest difficulty, and I'm nearly done the campaign (I'm on 2nd last mission), and I have died maybe 10x the whole campaign.

I got two missions in and I was really enjoying myself as well. Shadowfall's campaign is fantabulous so far. Sadly/fortunately someone gave me an offer I couldn't refuse for my remaining working PS4, so it's gone as of today... no more PS4 for me until Sony fixes mine.

Finished off the singe player tonight. I won't spoil anything, but I will say that campaign was one of the best I've played in a long time!

To be honest I don't understand why KZ:SF didn't score into the 9's with the reviews. My only complaint about the game is that the multiplayer menu system is a bit of a flustercluck, and there needs to be better stat tracking, and encourage people to try new gamemodes. The actual multiplayer gameplay is fantastic.

The lack of menu features is most likely the result of the game getting rushed to meet release day. I expect they'll patch in some more functionality.

Awesome! Can't wait to get back to playing it!

I have to say, so far, I am really disappointed in one thing. The PS3 is pretty close to being the ultimate fusion of a game console and HTPC. It does it all and does it well. The PS4... no photos. No UPnP. No streaming over the network from my Synology NAS in any fashion. No music. No plugging in a USB flash drive and checking out photos/videos/copying content to and fro. Except for access to streaming services and playing video discs, the PS4 is totally useless for non-gaming tasks. I knew audio CDs were not going to be supported, but I did not know about the rest till I fired it up.

This bugs me because I wanted to supplant the PS3 with it... looks like the PS3 will remain right where it is and keep pulling primary HTPC duty.

The only good thing is all of this functionality can be added back via system software except for audio CD playback (can't very well add a CD laser with a firmware update). I hope they do.

I'm also mildly annoyed that the PS3's awesome backup utility is gone. Redownloading everything except your saves is going to kind of suck if you upgrade. Unless your connection makes my 18 Gb look like dialup, a few hundred GB takes a lot longer than the overnight restore from an external that the PS3 can do. Once again, I hope Sony considers the return of the Backup Utility in a future update.

Ya that OS doesn't offer much of anything other then gaming. No YouTube app even, and YouTube doesn't really work in the browser, even if you turn on youtube.com/html5.

I expect they'll be adding in a lot of the other features and functionality. It seems like the software side of the ps4 was rather rushed. I would have been fine if they woulda used the XMB OS again.

Guerrilla Games decided to include another achievement where the only way to get it is insane amounts of grinding in multiplayer (max out every upgradeable ability). Oh well, it's not nearly as bad as the "Be in the top 1% of players for the week" from KZ2

Gads, that stupid KZ2 trophy. Had to devote 4 hours a night for 6 nights one week to get that. I'd never be able to dedicate that kind of time now.

What's even worse is when you dedicate 2ish hours a night for a week, and not even crack top 10%. I think that was the last week I played KZ2 multiplayer

Heh, I think doing top 1% was the last time I played KZ2 multiplayer with any real frequency as well. Kinda like when I did that 1000 MP kills in one week challenge for Halo: Reach. Afterwards you're like, "Okay... my desire to play this has been saturated and then some. Time to put it down for a while."
