I think this deserves an extra thread: Aspyr has announced that Bioshock Infinite will be available for Mac this summer. No details on the release date, system requirements and possible SteamPlay yet.

Excellent news. Summer is still a long time, but I am very happy Aspyr is publishing that title : it'll need a lot of performance optimization on Mac. An the by the look of Rage and Black Ops they are very good at that.

Happy to hear this too. Still need to finish Bioshock 2.

Kind of surprised it isn't coming out on Feral.

Precisely the correct time to announce it too. Means I won't buy the Windows version and will wait for this.

I think, the cooperation on Borderlands 2 has formed a pretty strong relationship between Aspyr and 2K Games — at least when it comes to UE3 based shooters on Steam.

I remember when the game trailer on this came out, it looked awesome.  I've not heard anything about it since.  Has this turned out to be as great a title as the trailer promised?

Then skip it. I use Facebook I don't have an interest in liking a single brands for any game.

NOW I'm excited! I hate everything Facebook, it's blocked through my router so it won't load so I guess I'll buy a copy.

Gotta say these news got me pretty excited, Aspyr is doing EXCELLENT work choosing the games they port. I mean, the last Mac game that got me this excited was Borderlands 2 :)

Anyway, happy to see them tackling always bigger/higher profile games with reasonably good release dates!

Well, summer is still a while off, so you have enough time to play both Bioshock 1 & 2 at least once. And you should. :P

Givaway also additionally requires a GAME AGENT account !    They can keep their giveaway.
Either I get Aspyr games from the App Store or Steam.

And the minium SystemReq for PC are HD 3000, guess I stay with the PC version.

Kinda suprised, too. And after my first (Mac) encounter with Bioshock 2, I find the Feral DRM quite user friendly.

I hear ya. I hear ya :)

Our thought here was that most people already have a Facebook account, and services like wootbox give us an easy way to do a contest for people signing up for GameAgent through Facebook.

The goal of course is to get people to take a look at GameAgent.com...which I should clarify is not a push to get anyone to buy from GameAgent.com.  We've become completely agnostic as to "where" gamers buy our games, so we've redesigned GameAgent to be a tool, rather than simply a sales outlet.  GameAgent tells you what games will run on your machine through the "MacMatch" feature, and it grabs the best prices on the net so that you can get the lowest price with deal notifications, etc.  Instead of just having our own games on there, we put over 200 of the top Mac games on the site including the stellar lineup from Feral plus all the cool indy titles that are out.

That all said, do you guys think that a better way to run a contest next time would be directly through GameAgent?  I guess my worry is, we miss out on all the social effects that a Facebook option would give.

Thanks for all the feedback!  This stuff really helps us out.

Not everyone is happy with facebook. But the 'majority' is. There is no way to please everyone, while still trying to keep any semblance of marketing in tact. Sure it would be great to just do what is right, and good for everyone, but then you wouldn't make as much money ;)

Sometimes we forget companies are not just in it for the bucks. But when it comes down to it, all companies are in it for the bucks. SO you gotta do what you gotta do to keep up sales and hype, and by picking the majority and most viral of outlets (facebook), then that is what you have to do for now.

Personally I wont sign up with something I don't already have an account with, just to enter a contest or giveaway. But thats just me, and I'm in the minority.

Good point. I'm sure the whole porting process is complicated and competitive.

I don't mind liking something on Facebook to enter a contest. I can always unlike it later. This one for Bioshock Infinite though, did require me to install/use a Facebook App, which I was less excited about.
