My dad is unable to travel to a funeral/memorial in Arizona being held at the Heard Museum for his cousin, but has been asked to provide a .mov tribute that can be played. He recorded it in an older version of Photo Booth (3.something) on his older iMac (10.6.x) and it seesm there is no way to export that file as a .mov file, only an animated GIF.

Can anyone confirm that's the case? Is there a way to export that as a .mov, or will I be required to haul my laptop down to his house and have him re-record the tribute? Newer versions of Photo Booth (i.e., 5.x founf in 10.8) allow export as a .mov, if anyone's wondering.

Thanks.

I think that's correct. Video export is a relatively recent addition to Photobooth.

You might try this, though. That seems to work on Snow Leopard, judging from the screenshots.

Finally found the movie file. Saved out, thanks Janichsan.
