Is this game still existing? Have EA moved their servers to Mars? Does anyone really think they even started the Mac port?

I begin to wonder. By the time it does come out, all the pre-orders would have been cancelled, and no one is going to give two popsnizzles that it did finally come out.

No one is still waiting for this game on this platform, are they?

OMG!!1!1!! :groupwave:

That means that three games come out for the Mac on the same day: Bioshock Infinite, LotR War in the North and Sim City! Aspyr, Feral and EA duking it out for total supremacy about Mac gaming! Of course, EA will crush the puny competition, because we all desperately waited to finally play the best and most expected always-online single player game of all time!!

Or not. :glare:

Let's hope EA doesn't crush anyone like Feral or Slitherine et al. Those "puny competitors" keep the real spirit of OSX gaming alive.

I don't think you need to worry about EA crushing anyone, except the customers, by pushing the release date off ... again.

Given that the 29th is my birthday, I'm pretty sure that was the reason for the choice in dates.

To piss you off with a bungled OSX version launch? Happy birthday btw. If Homeland Security hasn't intercepted tBC's gift he sent along, it should arrive shortly.

Yawn. Two mediocre games and one decent game that'll be dirt cheap by Christmas.

Personally, I am much more excited for Gone Home on the 15th and Papers, Please, which came out today. Although I will probably wait for the next steam sale because I'm a cheap bastard. (Not really, I just have a huge backlog.)

EA, Aspyr and Feral are duking it out for second place. Indies already won.

Exactly. That article tears right into the mess EA has made of this and vomits it all up. And not working at native resolution on a 27" iMac is inexcusable, these days. Idiots.

Bioshock Infinite doesn't work at full res, either. Just saying.

Got my copy yesterday from Macgamestore. Works fine, despite the fact you gotta be always online to play. The interface is very snappy. There are a lot of little challenges which make the game more fun than SC4 for example. Overall I'm quite satisified with SC5, but I think that Maxis copied a few things from City Life, like the megastructures and city exchanges. It's a good buy, imho.

Yeah, if MGS could sell a non-origin version of the game... it would allow for offline play. Sadly EA have their heads up their ass and want to repeat the mess that Ubisoft learned from months ago.
