Dynamic Warfare And RTS Battle Command:
As promised in my update earlier this week, I've made a video discussing some of our plans for future real-time-strategy command of our Dynamic Warfare battles, leading to players commanding armadas of other players and NPCs! I think this is going to be pretty awesome. We've had the fundamentals of battlefield control working for some time, only accessible to developers for use in events, and the rank system will let us begin to expose some of these command-and-control game mechanics to our userbase. There's still a lot of work to do, building the interfaces and tuning command behaviours for NPC units, but the groundwork is all there.
Graphical Updates, New Rendering Technology And Gameplay Impact:
I've made an effort to lay out some of our graphics and rendering technology roadmap in detail, to try and answer the related questions that you've posted and sent us since we launched the Kickstarter. I hope this helps illuminate what we're trying to build, along with why this funding will be so important to our goals.
FYI that when I talk about some possible graphics that might be PC-only, that simply means that they'll launch on the PC. As mobile devices increase in power, we'll back-propagate changes when they become realistic for the platforms, much as we have already.
Also, by PC-only I mean as differentiated from mobile. "PC" includes Windows, Mac and Linux.
