Scheduled for a March 8 release, development of the latest incarnation of the popular city building sim is being led by Maxis. SimCity Mac will once again give players the chance to construct and manage a thriving city.

What do the Eiffel Tower, Brandenburg Gate and the Big Ben Clock Tower have in common? Besides being three of the world’s most recognizable landmarks, they’re also the three core components of the city sets that are available in the upcoming SimCity Digital Deluxe Edition, available exclusively on Origin on March 8.

More than just window dressing, these three landmarks will influence and change your cities. Plop any of these three buildings and watch the surrounding buildings adapt and change to fit their style. Ever wanted to make your own city of lights? Plop down the Eiffel Tower and you’ve got your very own SimCity version, all without leaving the comfort of your own home.

The model-like world and detail of the simulation make this the most responsive and personal SimCity ever. This is also the most expansive city management game yet where multi-city gameplay across regions delivers a larger playing field. Play a single city or up to 16 cities at once each with different specialisations, it’s your choice.

Multiplayer is also a first for the series, adding a new dimension to the game, as decisions impact both the city and the region, creating new ways to play by collaborating or competing to earn achievements. Finally, SimCity is a live service that simulates real-time updates and pushes them to players in the form of new challenges. Through this platform, Maxis is also able to provide a continuous stream of new gameplay features and content. Whether you play by yourself, with your friends or the rest of the world, SimCity introduces an infinite world of possibilities. What kind of mayor will you be?
